Working on 30 Days to a Better Stepfamily

Hello my friends!

How are you doing?  I’ve missed talking with you lately, and I know it is because I have not been available as much.  You are in my prayers each time I open WordPress, in thankful praise for you coming over to have your coffee in the mornings with me and sharing your ideas.

For the next two weeks I will not be posting much because I am working on a series to share with you.  Beginning November 23, I am posting once a day for 30 days about stepfamilies.   The timing seems apropos for the holidays.  Things can get a little trying around Thanksgiving, and Christmas, as Stepfamilies try to act like original family with food, tradition and children being pulled by both parents because of their love for the children.  Peace and Quiet are never terms you hear much in association with stepfamily.

The U. S. Bureau of Censes states that Fifty percent of families are stepfamilies and that 1300 new stepfamilies are formed each day.

Though I have experience in this area of life, I am studying to try and make sure my theology is accurate before I post– and this takes time.  Blogging is not my only responsibility, though I really wish it were, so I can only spend a measured amount of time on this series.  But I am so very excited about this series!

Stepfamilies can work, but it takes work…a LOT of work and a LOT of Prayer!

Here is a picture of Doc, and his girls, this summer at the beach.  Two of the guys were not available for the picture and my son-in-law is manning up so Doc can have a picture with all of his women.  Now you know this poor man needs prayer!  However, he may be out numbered, but never out gunned! (Yes, I love my man!)

Thank you Barb. I could use some prayer cover! If attack is any indicator this should be good! Missing talking with you!

Oh and I forget to tell you… the picture of Doc and his girls is fabulous. All these gals are good looking girls, but the one on the far right is really a babe. ;-D

Love this idea for a series. I’m looking forward to reading it. I am a secretary for an attorney who specializes in family law – hopefully I can learn something that will help me in dealing with the families I come in contact with.

Oh Stacie, If you are blessed and receive anything valuable from this, then rest assured it is not me but the Lord!
