My Diverse Family
Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who built it; unless the Lord guards the city the watchman keeps awake in vain. Psalms 127:1
We are family, diverse in most areas of life, education, and even race. One thing we are not diverse about is our faith in God.
Different denominations, one God.
Different ways of applying the Word to our lives, but one Word.
Even so, if God did not make us one and keep us one our belief system would not hold us together. Positive thinking cannot conquer obstacles of this life, nor can it be victorious over evil. Only Christ, empowered by God’s Holy Spirit, submitted to His will and death on the cross, can hold this unique group of believers together, and call us family.
We are family, a earthly example of what it is like to be in the family of God. We love and are loved, we forgive and are forgiven, we argue with each other and argue for each other. We are family.
We life as we are taught by the Word of Christ, the we trust God to build, and guard our lives as He sees fit. Submiting to Him as our authority and our example.
