The Septic Alarm!

I awoke this morning to the sound of an alarm.  The alarm on the septic take is alerting

us to a failure in the tank.  It is not a pleasant wake-up call.

A septic failure means no removal of filth. No flushing the potty, no baths, no laundry, no clean dishes.  It means toxic back up into our lives.

If the failure is not attended to quickly, then in time diseases which can lead to death are real possibilities.

I begin to think about the septic tank and sin in my life.  What if I could not remove it, what if I could not wash daily in the Word, or know that when I gave Him my filth it would be completely removed.

What if my only robe had no hope of having all spots or wrinkles removed.

He has awakened me with an alarm this morning and caused my ear to be attentive to His voice, reminding me to begin each day with Him, confessing our sin and need for His salvation, to wash in the Word, and to robe ourselves in His righteousness, and to learn His ways and share them with others.

The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Isaiah 50:4

Oh no! Haha- I definitely remember a few times when this happened to my family as I was growing up. 🙂 What a great parallel between the septic tank and sin, though. 🙂 Happy Friday!

What a brilliant example about how time with Him cleanses us…through the power of His blood!

We had septic issues off and on for a couple of months at the end of last year, so totally FEEL your pain. Did you get it all sorted out?

Thanks for stopping by my blog last week and for making a REAL connection. I truly appreciate it!
